When school holidays arrive, thousands of children face the harsh reality of food insecurity. That’s why AB and Jigsaw Homes have stepped in to ensure many children don’t go hungry during the summer break.
During term time, children from low-income families often benefit from free school meals. However, when the holidays begin, these safety nets disappear. Families already struggling to make ends meet are left to stretch tight budgets even further. The result? Children going without the nutrition they need to thrive.
