We’re proud to announce that AB Building & Electrical Ltd has secured a new contract with First Choice Homes Oldham (FCHO) to deliver Disrepair & Damp & Mould Resolution Works.
This 12-month contract, with the option to extend for a further 3 years, marks a significant milestone in our continued partnership with FCHO. Over recent years AB have been working closely with FCHO to refurbish void properties, completed large Electrical Upgrade works and this new opportunity reinforces the strength and trust in our relationship.
Importantly, this award bolsters a growing portfolio of damp and disrepair contracts secured over the past 12 months, reflecting our team’s commitment to improving housing standards and delivering responsive, high-quality solutions across the sector.
This work is especially timely as the sector prepares for the implementation of Awaab’s Law, which comes into force on 27 October 2025. The legislation will require social landlords to address reported damp, mould, and emergency repairs within strict timeframes — a vital step toward ensuring safe, healthy living conditions for all residents.
